Park County Home PageI had an enjoyable time on your fine flat bottomed wave rider! Thought you may like the photos from the Kaneohe to Iwakuni via Guam trip in July 1966. I remember running on one engine a good part of the time and watching the ocean swells move from stern to bow (figured the ocean was going to arrive before we did!). I volunteered for mess duty as there wasn't much for us (Marines) to do and that kept me close to the food and no chow lines. The edge of a typhoon kept us below deck for 24 hrs, no straps on bunks to tie in and rolling 45 etc was quite an experience. I never did get sea sick thank goodness. Our quarters was compartment 10-2-10 up at the bow, quite noisy.
