Park County was decommissioned by the US Navy and transferred to the Mexican Navy after service in Vietnam. As Park County, now renamed Rio Panuco, reached the end of her service life she was given a dramatic end. Sunk during military exercises Park County is now serving as an artificial reef, providing a home for numerous varieties of marine life and recreation for scuba divers. No matter how you feel about this kind of end I prefer it to PC being broken up for scrap.
