I had an enjoyable time on your fine flat bottomed wave rider! Thought you may like the photos from the Kaneohe to Iwakuni via Guam trip in July 1966. I remember running on one engine a good part of the time and watching the ocean swells move from stern to bow (figured the ocean was going to arrive before we did!). I volunteered for mess duty as there wasn't much for us (Marines) to do and that kept me close to the food and no chow lines. The edge of a typhoon kept us below deck for 24 hrs, no straps on bunks to tie in and rolling 45 etc was quite an experience. I never did get sea sick thank goodness. Our quarters was compartment 10-2-10 up at the bow, quite noisy.
